Aloha and welcome once again! Thank you for passing this newsletter along to

With the warmer spring weather, many of you will be spending more time outdoors in Nature. Many times I have suggested that you spend time in Nature, and I haven't said why or how it relates to your creativity. Nature energizes and harmonizes the body, mind and spirit because there is chi'i, life energy, in all living things. When, for example, you sit or walk at the ocean, you are exchanging energy with living beings, the ocean, the sand, the trees, the birds. The colors and energy around you vitalize and sensitize you. To what? Your own nature, vitality and flow...to rejuvenate and to rest...to the stillness within us...We walk into a forest for rest. Even a little time in Nature will make a big difference in how you feel. Give yourself this gift today. Be with and strengthen your Nature in Nature.

2. Inspirations from our Creative Community

Ellen Epstein is a creative kindred spirit and inspirational visionary artist and friend. She has created a series of International Mandalas for World Peace and Medical Mandalas for Health and Wellness. You can download them for your own healing and meditation from her beautiful new website, Awakening Images: The Visionary Art of Ellen Epstein. She calls her work vibrational art because it bypasses the intellect and works with people on a cellular level. Ellen says one does not need to understand it to receive it's benefit. The vibrational tools of mandalas, colour and glyphs have been used in healing, balance, and transformation for thousands of years. You can get involved with her vision in many creative ways as explained on her website. She has founded a nonprofit organization to forward her vision. Here is one of Ellen's beautiful poems to go with one of her mandalas that you can view and download from her site.

3. Creative Tip of the month

A creative breakthrough from a coaching client:

Over a period of several weeks, this woman was involved in a series of inquiries. An inquiry is a question to explore that she and I designed together for her to live with, try on for size, and just let the answers come when they may. Insights might come for example while showering, driving, gardening, dreaming, or brushing your teeth! The inquiries began as What is fun? What makes me happy? What am I passionate about? Then they developed into How fun can life be? How can I have more fun? What am I ready for? What's my next level of fun? What limits do I put on myself?

What resulted from these inquiries was this person having lots more fun in her life and feeling more alive and passionate than ever--with her clients, with her clothes, in her free time. Suddenly her life became fun! (You know, what you focus on becomes your reality.) Then she discovered the real juice...she loves art, working with teenagers and writing. This has developed into writing a children's book, and meeting a successful, professional illustrator with a publisher who is ready to go on her book. All this has been fun, easy and energizing! She is developing one of her niches as a professional coach to work in creative and transformative ways with teens.

So choose an inquiry for yourself this week. Write it down on little yellow post-it's and put them up all around your house, office, and in your car. Don't try to answer it. Just let the answer reveal itself in it's own time and see what insights show up. Please feel free to share any of your experiences with us through the newsletter.

4. Sound Tip of the Month May 2001
The sound suggestion for this month has become one of my favorites. I host a monthly ‘Sound Pod’ which is a group of people who get together to tone, chant and play with sounds. It is delightful, powerful and lots of fun. One evening it was suggested we all just sing I AM LOVE which we did for 10 minutes or so after which it became YOU ARE LOVE as we continued the energy was getting higher and higher. Finally it morphed into WE ARE LOVE. When we finished the room was electric, everyone was smiling and began to hug one another. So this month make up a tune and sing all aspects of love. Allow your heart to feel open and receptive. Another one of my favorites, which I tone and sing often is I FORGIVE AND I AM FORGIVEN. Trust me on this one it is powerful. So I invite you to play with your voice, your sounds, and heal and receive.

5. Schedule of Creative Events and Retreats

Check out Carol Lorraine Designs new Spring 2001 collection, Divine Grace on the website gallery of designs at Gallery of Designs. Inspired by Pamela Eakins, The Tarot of the Spirit, I am writing a series of poems to go with each of the designs, which will be on the site soon. I paint while in communion with each element (earth, air, fire, water) and work with the essence, sound, color and tone of each. The Spring capes, sarongs and scarves with flowers in full bloom, act as tuning forks of vibrational beauty that open the viewer or wearer to the feminine spirit of divine grace. One client wears her Soul Creation sarong while she writes or for comfort when she feels tired or needs inspiration. Another client ordered custom scarves for her two sisters. Two of them experienced a new sense of sisterhood and communication through the viewing and wearing of the Soul Creation scarf.
