1. Welcome Notes
Aloha and welcome once again! Thank you for passing this newsletter along to
others you know who would be inspired by Alive! With Creating. We are a
community of approximately 1,000 readers now. To unsubscribe, hit reply and

Last month, inspired by Doreen Virtue's Healing with the Fairies book and
oracle cards, I dedicated the newsletter to the Nature Spirits (fairies,
sprites, leprechauns, gnomes, elves, mermaids and menehunes). I've always
believed in angels, and now I am being reintroduced to the fairies. These
beautiful beings help us to lighten up and manifest our dreams as well as
enjoy more fun, joy and happiness. As children many of us saw, spoke to and
played with the fairies, then as adults gave them up as being imaginary
creatures.

Last week I had the glorious pleasure of spending time with Doreen and her
partner Steven Farmer and an incredible group of enthusiastic, playful people
for a week long retreat in Hawaii. I felt like I was meeting long lost
friends and uncovering buried treasure! This island has a way of connecting
people and resources beyond my wildest dreams. We took them by boat on a
Dolphin Journey with Nancy Sweatt and were blessed to see three beautiful
species of dolphins, graceful false killer whales and a tiger shark
(considered a guardian spirit to the Hawaiians)! The water sprites were
definitely playing with us and gracing us with the presence of awesome beauty.

Wanting to meet more fairies, I've been enjoying a lot of time in my garden,
mentally talking with them. I haven't seen one yet, however I do sense their
presence and hear their messages to me. They have suggested new designs for
my silk paintings, including butterfly and bird motifs. AND my plants are
starting to flourish, even in the hard lava soil.

Dreaming big in the area of prosperity, I decided to bring several plants
(and their fairies) indoors to grace my wealth and prosperity corner (from my
Feng Sui consultation). Using blues, purples and fuchsia (royal colors), I
made an altar, or sacred area with some blooming orchids, a large amethyst
crystal, one of my floral silks and my silk mandala of a spinning star (to
get things moving). Created with the intention of giving and receiving
prosperity in every area of my life, I have watched this corner literally
light up with energy. So far I am experiencing incredible results with the
marketing and sales of the silk Spirit Creations. So don't give up on your
dreams! Don't settle for anything less than your true heart's desires and ask
the angels and fairies for assistance.

2. Inspirations from our Creative Community

I just happened to read back through my journal today and found this short
story that I wrote about the fairies. I wrote it in November 1999, just a
month after moving to Hawaii while I was feeling a little lonesome. And now
here I am so inspired and comforted by my new found friends. Carol Lorraine

The lonely little fairy sat perched on a big pink flower looking around her
at the valley below. She was alone, but not really. The sun was shining
brightly. A butterfly flew by and lighted on her shoulder giving her a sweet
kiss. Birds sang their beautiful melodies and whistled secret messages to
her. Was she listening? The river was singing to her of movement and flow.
The little bugs were playfully talking with her, when suddenly she realized
she wasn't alone at all! There were fairies all around that she had never
seen before. They were dancing and singing, playing and laughing with joy.
They whispered to her. "You can only see us when you are quiet and alone."
Suddenly she had so much company that she was startled. There was life all
around her! Living, breathing, singing Nature beings.

The fairies spoke to her of loneliness. To be alone with one's self is a
precious gift to be cherished. Lonely is an illusion. We are never alone. To
think of lonely as bad or wrong is an illusion too. The art of living asks us
to learn to be alone, for a time each day to recharge, to nurture and feed
the heart, mind and body. To listen to the soul's messages is the heart's
song. What is your heart's song little one? When you listen to your own
special song you will not feel lonely anymore.

So the little fairy began to acknowledge all the other beautiful living
creatures around her in Nature and they learned her fairy friends were right.
She began to feel her connection with all of life--while swimming with the
fish, the dolphins, and the turtles, and always wherever she was in the giant
world of Nature's wonders.

MOTION. Incredible. I'm so happy to see your newsletters and hear your
adventures, your goals, your classes. What a pleasure to live on the island.
Swimming with the dolphins has to be the most refreshing activity on earth. I
got to experience being in the middle of a pod of dolphins with bubbles
gliding me with them with no other thought in mind my except the moment and
the magic. I think of you as a mermaid on the rocks, with two steps out to
the coral then cruisin' along the coast, feeling the emotions of the water
flow through you and then taking them with you through your life. Your
passion, your creativity reminds me of the dolphins karma, melding with the
whole. I think of your aura sharing with all, calling for life in it's
essence, in appreciation with All That Is. Oceans away and right next to you,
you touch lives with love and an open invitation to live. You are an
inspiration. May God and all his loving fairies be with you and all your
endeavors with happiness, love and creativity. Beauty in All. God Bless.

Warm Greetings Carol! Thanks for the recommendation on the Fairy cards. I
love them. I'm amazed by their accuracy and guidance. They are beautifully
illustrated and well written--a true combination of psychology and
spirituality. I have a group

I reminisce often about my trip to Hawaii with you and how that was a

3. Creative Tip of the month: Dream Big and don't settle for less
I've written many times in this newsletter about the creating process, and
you can read Robert Fritz's nine steps to creating on my website on the
newsletter page. Another term for creating is manifesting, or making your
dreams a reality. Most people I talk with now are yearning for a more
meaningful life and lifework. I call it soul based living, when you follow
your heart and soul's desires. At first it can feel uncomfortable and strange
because it isn't the way the culture has taught us to live. It isn't as
linear and goal oriented. It is more intuitive based. We use intentions that
come from our inner intuitive voice, or from our spirit vs choosing goals
from our ego.

It really is simple. It just takes some practice, and sometimes a little time
and patience.
1. Get quiet and ask yourself what you really, really, really would like your
life to look like. Let yourself DREAM BIG. Time and money are not a
consideration when dreaming big. There are NO LIMITS. This can really take
some practice. Try it with a group of close friends for support. You could
call it a dream group.

2. Then write your dreams down, speak them into a tape recorder, or draw
pictures. Share them with a trusted friend. Making a collage or choosing
symbols or images of your dreams will imprint them into your subconscious.
Images are the language of the soul. Let yourself choose the images
intuitively.

3. Read your dream list or look at your images every day and let yourself
FEEL how it would be to live your dream. Ask yourself if you are ready to
live your dream? If not, what do you need to transform to be ready?

4. Write an affirmation to go with your dreams in the present tense. For
example, I love my life and my work. And say it over and over several times a
day.

5. Believe and trust this process. It works! Try it. Stay positive. Eliminate
all negative thinking. And you may be surprised how fast you begin to
manifest your dreams!

4. Sound Tip of the Month, August 2001

This month our Sounds that Heal Exercise comes from a rejuvenating
self-maintainance system called the Healing Tao. It was written by a western
world Taoist master from Thailand, Mantak Chia.

In this season of summer, if you experience any of the hot emotions, like
hastiness, arrogance or cruelty, these heart sounds can be used for cooling
your emotions as well as sore throats, cold sores, swollen gums, or tongue,
jumpiness, moodiness, or heart disease.

The Heart Sound of Haaaaaaw 1. Place fingertips of both hands between your
breastbone and navel slightly to the left of center. Inhale. 2. Exhale and
begin the sound the Haaaaaaw and as you do stretch your hands above your
head, heel of left hand more to stretch the left side of the body where heart
is located. Continue this sound and the stretching for as long as it feels
good. Do this often this month and observe how your heart and emotions are
feeling
